A new Tax Information Exchange Agreement between the Isle of Man and Portugal comes into effect next week.
It was signed in London in July last year, by the Portuguese secretary of state for tax affairs and the Island's then Treasury Minister Anne Craine.
Tynwald ratified the document in October 2010 and the Portuguese Embassy in London has now confirmed the country has completed its own ratification procedures.
The agreement comes into force on Wednesday, January 18.
