The Slovenian ambassador to the United Kingdom has been on the Isle of Man today (Monday) to sign his country's first TIEA, or tax information exchange agreement.
His Excellency Iztok Jarc and Treasury Minister Anne Craine took part in the signing ceremony at Central Government Offices in Douglas.
The ambassador is on a two-day visit to the Island, and is being briefed on the Manx economy by senior politicians and government officers.
Mr Jarc says he will be exploring the potential for trade between the Isle of Man and Slovenia (listen to audio file below):
This evening the lieutenant governor hosted a dinner for the Island's Slovenian guests at Government House.
