Annual Money Skills for Schools Week held
Pupils from King's William's College and Ramsey Grammar have proven they have what it takes when it comes to managing money.
First held in 2015, the annual 'Old Mutual International Money Skills for Schools Week' aims to equip teenagers with the skills and knowlege needed in later life to manage money and avoid debt.
Thirteen-year-olds from all of the Island's secondary schools took part in the activities, which used interactive games and quizzes to highlight the real issues surrounding money matters.
During the week, volunteers from the financial firm's team visited the schools to teach students about understanding payslips, budgeting, borrowing and saving.
Awards were handed out to the three students who came out on top.
Maeve Wilson and Julian Callister from King William’s College, and Sinead Curphey from Ramsey Grammar School, were presented with the prizes by Communications Business Partner at Old Mutual International Wendy Ranft-Gerber.
