Quinn Legal installs defibrillator

Craig's Heartstrong Foundation donates item

Local law firm Quinn Legal has teamed up with Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation to keep a defibrillator at its office on Ridgeway Street in Douglas.

Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation was set up in memory of Craig Lunt, a popular Manx footballer who tragically passed away from an undiagnosed heart condition in 2005.

In addition to installing defibrillators in offices and public spaces around the Island, it aims to raise awareness of heart conditions in young people and offers free heart screenings for men and women aged between 14 and 35.

With a growing number of staff and daily client meetings, having a defibrillator at Quinn Legal’s office was seen as a welcome addition to existing first aid measures.

Adam Clayton, Chief Operations Officer at Quinn Legal, says, "The positive impact that Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation has within the community is invaluable.

"Without their proactive work and awareness initiatives, many Isle of Man residents would not be aware of the many heart conditions that exist, or have the opportunity to be screened.

"We are extremely grateful to the charity for their donation of a defibrillator at our office.

"Quinn Legal puts a great deal of emphasis on safety at work and having a defibrillator to hand will ensure we are equipped to deal with any emergencies that arise."
