A Manx-based poker website, which is the largest in the world, is preparing to deal its 40-billionth hand of cards.
The landmark is expected to be passed sometime this month and the company says it will mark the occasion with cash giveaways and prizes.
Anyone playing at one of the firm’s online poker tables when the record breaking hand is dealt will be given a cash prize and the game’s pot will be doubled by the company.
Based and regulated here in the Isle of Man, the firm holds records for the greatest number of online gamblers in action at one time – 149,000 – has annual revenues of more than $1.4 billion and annual profits of more than $500 million.
