Pay and Post at the Wessex

Customers of Wessex Garage in Douglas can now top up their fuel and trasact their postal business at the same location, following the introduction of a self-service Pay and Post kiosk.

Isle of Man Post says it's the latest in a wave of postal kiosks being introduced to provide the public with improved access to postal services, particularly early in the morning and after 5.30pm, with emphasis on weekend access.

Pay and Post kiosks had already been installed in the Crosby Hotel and at the Shoprite store in Victoria Road, Douglas.

The new location at the Wessex Garage in Alexander Drive will provide customers and residents of the area with the chance to transact their postal business earlier than ever before, with early morning opening from 7am and late night closing at 10pm.

The postal kiosks offer postage of letters and small packets, purchase of postage labels and the payment of utility bills to the MEA, Manx Telecom, Manx Gas and government rates.

Pay and Post kiosks were first trialled in Regent Street Post Office last August.

Ninety-four per cent of the first 600 customers rated them as excellent and said they would use them again.
