A Manx-based company is behind an ambitious plan to turn a Leeds suburb into one of the United Kingdom's first ever eco-towns.
Oulton Hall Estates wants to build 9,000 carbon-neutral homes on green belt land, with six new primary schools and a secondary school.
There would be solar panels on all properties and wind turbines built on the site, which would be one of 15 such towns across the UK.
There’s already a campaign to block the plans, which have yet to be submitted for approval.
