Newfield employees brave ToughMann

Four take part, raise almost £2,500

Almost £2,500 has been raised for charity by employees of the international e-gaming company Newfield, at the Toughmann Challenge held in Ballaugh last month.

Hollie McGowan, Alexandria Smith, Victoria Creasey and Sam Jones all braved the 10-kilometre course, fighting through plenty of mud, to raise money for the Hyperbaric Chamber.

David Downie, medical technologist for the Hyperbaric Chamber, thanked the group for their 'magnificent efforts' and for raising such a large amount.

The director at Newfield, Mark Reynolds, described the competition as 'a test of physical and mental strength' and congratulated the four competitors on completing the challenge.
