Manx-based Canonical Software has released the latest version of its Ubuntu operating system.
Version 9.10 is codenamed Karmic Koala, and the firm, based in Circular Road, is hoping to build on its past success.
Ubuntu is a direct competitor to Windows, and was named as such by Microsoft in this year's Security and Exchange Commission filing.
It's already used by 12 million people around the world, including the French police, Wikipedia website and San Francisco International Airport.
