
Manx Radio is celebrating after winning a prestigious prize which puts it in the running to be named the best in Britain.
In the Radio Academy 2011 Nations and Regions Awards, the Isle of Man's national broadcaster was judged to be the best in the Northwest, beating competition from stations in the United Kingdom.
Among other things, the judges said: 'This station has the sound and production values of a high quality national radio station'.
Manx Radio now goes forward into the Station of the Year category at the Sony Radio Academy Awards next year.
