The Lord Mayor of the City of London arrives on the Isle of Man this week.
Alderman David Wootton is visiting the Island on Thursday to find out about the Island's role as a business and finance centre.
During the day, he will attend briefings on various economic sectors and finance sector regulation, as well as delivering the Chief Minister's International Lecture to a lunch in Douglas.
Chief Minister Allan Bell invited him to the Isle of Man after meeting with him in December as part of the government's strategy of building contacts in Westminster and the City.
