Junior Achievement bank support

Barclays Wealth is throwing its weight behind the Island’s Junior Achievement programme – with financial and other support.

The company says it will give £10,000 to Junior Achievement Isle of Man which helps young people train to be the businesspeople of the future.

As well as the cash, Barclays Wealth staff will spend time carrying out voluntary work with students as part of the programme.

Ian Pilley, the firm’s head of operational change, says as a Manx employer, Barclays Wealth wants to help influence the calibre of people entering the workplace.
