The Treasury has announced it’s making changes to sanctions regimes in the light of current world events.
An order coming into force on September 6 makes amendments to existing export control laws on the Island.
There are new restrictions relating to Syria, outlawing goods and technology which could be used for repression.
Meanwhile some restrictions against Myanmar, formerly Burma, are being eased as the country undergoes democratisation.
