Designs find favour in US business market
Creative work on calendars for the US market by Island-based Ashgrove Marketing has been recognised with four gold awards at an international industry event.
The company scooped four gold awards at the Calendar Marketing Association's National and World Calendar - marking success for the Tromode-based firm for the third year running.
Designs by Creative Director Leigh Windell secured the top accolades in the Corporate Best Classical Art and Most Original categories, along with a silver award in the Best Subject section.
Ashgrove Marketing's US operation in Novi, Michigan produces more than 10 million calendars per year for US businesses, including Dupont, Remington Arms, Chevron Texaco and Gulf Oil.
Marketing Director Terry van Rhyn said: "It goes to show that calendars can be so much more than a pretty picture, they are a fantastic communication tool for businesses and organisations, particularly those with a large dealer and distribution networks."
He described them as "a great vehicle for projecting brand values that are seen by clients and consumers every day."
