Expanding choice for Island apprentices

Scheme to gain foothold in marketing

More than 400 Island residents undertook government-run apprenticeships in 2015.

The figure was revealed at the unveiling of a new programme by the Department of Economic Development, in partnership with CIM-accredited study centre The Marketing Partnership.

The Marketing Apprenticeship Scheme will place tutees in local employment for four days per week, with an additional day of guided teaching.

Six places are initially being offered, with the course beginning this September.
