Downward inflation trend continues

There has been a further fall in the Isle of Man's annual rate of inflation.

The figure, measured by the Retail Prices Index, has gone down for the third month in a row, and now stands at five per cent.

The rate of inflation excluding housing costs was down from 5.9 per cent in October to 5.5 per cent in November.

The inflation rate using the Consumer Prices Index dropped 0.5 per cent last month, to 5.2 per cent.

Inflation peaked at 6.8 per cent four months ago, having risen steadily from a low of minus one per cent in June 2009.
