Companies fare better than IOM at awards

Manx firms have been cleaning up at this year's Professional Adviser International Fund & Product Awards.

Skandia took home three awards including Best International Life Group, while Fairbairn Private Bank secured Best International Wealth Provider and Best International Service Initiative, at a ceremony in London.

Axa Isle of Man won Best International Life Group selling into the United Kingdom, and Boal & Co was given a Special Award for Technical Innovation in the QROPS Sector.

Standard Bank Offshore was named Best International Bank, but there was disappointment for the Isle of Man as Jersey won Best International Finance Centre, closely followed by Guernsey.

The awards recognise the best of the international investment industry and are judged by an independent panel of experts.
