The Financial Supervision Commission says fraudsters have set up an imitation website in order to scam people out of their cash.
The FSC says it has carried out checks and discovered irishnationwidebank.com has nothing to do with the real Irish Nationwide, which is licensed to carry out its business on the Island.
The commission says the website is either an attempt to defraud people, or steal their identities.
Under the circumstances, the FSC says people should stay away from the site.
Anybody who has already had any dealings with it can contact its Enforcement Division on 689311 or email fsc@gov.im
