The former head of sales and marketing at Conister Bank in the Isle of Man has taken up a new post at Standard Bank.
Simon Ripton, who is 38, has been appointed heads of savings products at Standard Bank, whose Isle of Man office is in Circular Road.
Chief executive John Coyle says Simon's focus will be to ensure banking products offered by Standard match customers' evolving needs. That's likely to be a challenging prospect in the light of current low interest rates.
Mr Ripton has a post-graduate diploma in marketing, and prior to working for Conister he spent nearly a decade in a variety of marketing and product development roles at the Alliance and Leicester, in the United Kingom and the Isle of Man.
