Auxesia urges businesses to keep up communication

'Connecting online can maintain sense of community' says company

A local mentoring consultancy is calling for all businesses and companies on the Island to offer more support and guidance for workers.

Auxesia Finance Director, Belinda Watson, says being able to work flexibly and remotely is "imperative in this period of economic uncertainty."

The firm is amongst many where employees are being allowed to work from home or remotely during the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, it believes mixing work and home life demands can have an impact on your mental well-being – and is urging organisations to keep communication channels open.

Mrs Watson explains how connecting over online platforms such as Skype or Zoom helps to "maintain some sense of community" and provide a "sense of belonging."
