Age Concern clients 'feel the squeeze'

Age Concern Isle of Man clients are feeling the squeeze, but in a good way, thanks to Bradford & Bingley International.

The offshore savings bank has sponsored stress balls in two shapes, limes and hearts, which will be distributed among the charity’s day centres in Douglas, Peel, Ramsey, Onchan and Port Erin.

Age Concern Isle of Man chief executive Penny Creighton, MBE, says stress balls are a great way to help develop and retain fine motor skills in the hands, even for clients who may no longer be able to move their knees or legs very easily.

George Campbell, community affairs manager at Bradford & Bingley International says he is pleased his company has been able to support Age Concern by buying the stress balls, which were the idea of Age Concern day care assistant Barbara McIver.
