The Great Union Camera Obscura on Douglas Head was built during the 1880's and is now one of only four remaining in the British Isles. Unlike other Camera Obscura which were originally built for astronomical purposes, the Great Union was built purely as an attraction for the flourishing Manx tourist industry. Through a series of mirrors and lens units it provided visitors with spectacular views of Douglas. Come and experience this unique experience this weekend. Adults £2; Seniors/Students £1; children FREE. Please note we do not have card facilities - Cash only as in Victorian/Edwardian times!
