Todd & Hickman lead the way in Superstock and Supertwin

Glenn Irwin will be on pole position for the opening superbike race of this year's North West 200.

Following today's remaining practice sessions, Irwin - who unofficially broke the lap record for the class - will lead from Davey Todd in second and Michael Dunlop in third.

Elsewhere, Todd (124.524mph) is set to be on top spot for the opening superstock event tonight ahead of Peter Hickman (124.402mph) whilst Dean Harrison rounds out the top three (123.476mph).

In the Supersport class, Todd is again on the front row in second on the Powertoolmate Ducati (117.723mph) and will sit between Mike Browne in third (116.534mph) and Richard Cooper in top spot (118.015mph).

In the Supertwins, Peter Hickman will start on pole after topping qualifying (110.846mph) ahead of Richard Cooper (110.222mph) and Jeremy McWilliams (109.160mph)

Tonight's race programme is currently due to get underway with the four-lap opening superbike race at 5.30pm; the four-lap Supersport race is then expected at around 6.30pm followed by the Superstock race at approximately 7.15pm, also over four laps.

The two Supertwin races are scheduled to take place on Saturday (11 May).

Meanwhile, there were three red flag incidents during today's qualifying sessions involving three riders - one in the Supersport session, one in the Superstock and one in the Supertwin.

Organisers say current information from the medical team indicates none of the riders have suffered serious injuries but two have been taken to hospital for assessment and treatment.
