Football: Busy midweek league schedule to continue

Semi-finals of Cowell Cup also scheduled later this week (Fixtures: 30 Apr - 2 May)

Another busy schedule of midweek league fixtures in Isle of Man football is set to get underway tonight (30 April).

Two days of matches across the senior men's divisions as well as Under-21 cup competition will take place across this evening, tomorrow and Thursday (30 April - 2 May).

Tuesday night sees nine games penned in across the Canada Life Men's Premier League and DPS Ltd. Division 2.

In the top flight, leaders Peel will be out to maintain their six-point lead at the summit when they travel to Union Mills whilst second-placed Ayre United - six points back with three games in hand - are away at Marown.

Elsewhere, Foxdale could go joint-top of Division 2 on points with Onchan should they take victory at Douglas High School Old Boys (Dhsob.) - Onchan are three points clear of Foxdale but have played two games more.

On Wednesday, seven matches are on the cards across the combination leagues - included in the combination one ties, newly-crowned champions Ramsey host St John's United.

In combination two, three points separate the top three - leaders Douglas High School Old Boys, Onchan in second and Michael United in third.

Of those, only Michael United are in action in midweek against Douglas Athletic.

Meanwhile, Thursday will decide who will face off in the final of this year's Cowell Cup competition for Under-21 sides.

With four teams remaining last year's finalists Onchan are away at Peel whilst Corinthians - who knocked out last season's champions Rushen United - host Ramsey.
