Ravens hoping for repeat of victory against opponents in August

FC Isle of Man have the chance to climb into the top half of the NWCFL Premier Division when they face Glossop North End at The Bowl tomorrow evening (21 October).

The Ravens earned a commanding 4-0 away victory against their opponents when the sides last met in the league on 16 August.

FC Isle of Man Manager, Paul Jones believes his side isn't far away from finding more consistency and that recent performances have been positive.

But he warns his team can't be complacent against a Glossop side which is struggling currently towards the bottom of the table:

After recording a win and a loss in their last two fixtures - both on the road - the Ravens sit 14th in the table with 23 points from their 17 games so far going into this weekend.

A victory on Saturday could see them climb as high as 11th in the standings depending on results around them.

Finding consistency remains a challenge FC Isle of Man are looking to overcome - their last six matches have yielded two wins, one draw and three defeats.

Elsewhere, along with defeat to the Island side earlier in the campaign, it's been a tough start to life in the NWCFL Premier Division for Glossop North End following their relegation from the Northern Premier League system last season.

Sitting 22nd in the division currently, they've managed just four wins from their 19 outings to this point with an eight-point gap between themselves and their hosts ahead of Saturday's meeting.

However, the Derbyshire side have shown their quality in moments in recent weeks including two notable victories over title-chasing Bury and a creditable home draw against Ramsbottom United.

Glossop North End's form over the last six has been identical to FC Isle of Man's (two wins, one draw and three defeats).

FC Isle of Man vs Glossop North End takes place at The Bowl this Saturday, 21 October, kicking-off at 6pm.
