Cycling: Ben Swift signs new INEOS Grenadiers contract

Manx resident describes team as like a 'second family'

Manx resident and former world champion cyclist Ben Swift has signed a new contract with INEOS Grenadiers.

Swift - who represented the Isle of Man at the 2022 Commonwealth Games - has put pen to paper on a deal to remain with the UCI WorldTeam squad until 2025.

Speaking on the announcement, the 35-year-old says he's 'really happy' to be continuing his pro career with a team that feels like a 'second family'.

He's currently operating a senior role in the INEOS Grenadiers rider setup - some of his most prominent career accolades to date include becoming Britain's first scratch world champion in 2012, holding the title of British National Road Race Champion from 2019-2022 and representing Great Britain at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

Most recently he was part of the INEOS Grenadiers squad which contested Il Lombardia in Italy earlier this month.
