Former Manx resident plays role in big victory over Chile

Manx resident, Bevan Rodd, played a key role on his Rugby World Cup bow for England as he scored during a commanding win for the nation earlier today (23 September).

During Saturday, England thrashed Chile 71-0 in Lille, France with Rodd scoring the fourth try of the first-half, a try which also brought England's try bonus point in the 35th minute.

Today was Rodd's first start at the tournament for England, with tonight's scoreline England's largest victory in 20 years.

Rodd - originally born in Scotland but raised on the Isle of Man - alongside his inclusion at the current Rugby World Cup, was also part of England's Six Nations team back in February and March this year.

The Sale Sharks player was also nominated for 2022 Isle of Man Sportsman of the Year.
