Uncle to stand trial after denying assaulting nephew

48-year-old allegedly punched him in face

A Kirk Michael man will stand trial after being accused of punching his nephew in the face and kneeing him in the testicles.

William Edward Heavey, of Mull View, denied assaulting the man during an appearance at Douglas Courthouse.

It’s alleged the 48-year-old approached the man at his place of work, on Shipyard Road in Ramsey, on Wednesday (9 August).

A pre-trial review will take place on 5 October; he’s been bailed, to an address in Jurby, until that date.
