Trial for Douglas man accused of double assault on police

58-year-old denies two offences

A Douglas man will stand trial after accused of assaulting two police officers.

James Thomas Hughes, of Heather Close, denies committing the offences on 27 May at his home.

A pre-trial review will take place on 8 August.

The 58-year-old has been bailed until that date.

 

Update: At Douglas Courthouse on 14 November a two-day trial was set down to start on 2 January 2024.
