40-year-old denies three offences
A company director from Onchan will stand trial after being accused of fraud.
Ian Piercy, of Royal Avenue, appeared at Douglas Courthouse where he denied three offences of committing fraud by false representation.
They were allegedly carried out between March and September 2021.
The 40-year-old is accused of claiming building work – carried out a property in Douglas by Nicholas Brian Design Limited – would have a National House Building Council warranty when it did not.
Committal proceedings – where the case is elevated to the Court of General Gaol Delivery – will take place on 6 August; he’s been bailed until that date
