Some sailings cancelled today

Sailings from 4pm onwards seems to be on track

Some sailings today have been cancelled due to the adverse weather the Isle of Man is experiencing.

The Manannan was supposed to leave Douglas for Liverpool at 7.15am but it will no longer make the journey.

The Ben-My-Chree's trip from Douglas to Heysham at 8.45am is also cancelled.

These will include the return journeys back as well.

Sailings from 4pm onwards seem to be on track.

At Ronaldsway Airport, some flights have also been affected due to the strong to gale force winds.

Flights to and from Liverpool, Manchester and Dublin will be delayed.

Passengers are advised to stay up to date using the airlines website or alternatively, visit the airport website.

Meanwhile, motorists are urged to leave extra time before travelling around the Island.

Police say due to the weather a number of trees are down.

Both Carriageways at the 11th Milestone on the TT course as well as East Baldwin Road near the papermill is affected.

There's also a fallen tree at the Northbound lane of the TT course between Ballacraine and Glen Helen.

It comes as there's a yellow weather warning for coastal overtopping in place until 4pm today.

The areas most at risk will be Shore Road Rushen, Castletown Promenade, the northern end of Douglas Promenade and to a lesser extent Laxey & Ramsey Promenades.
