Figures revealed in Tynwald written question

The number of suspensions handed out in the Island's schools has more than doubled since the Covid-19 pandemic.

The figures have been released in response to a written Tynwald question.

Ballakermeen High School had issued the most suspensions in the 2022/23 year, handing out 215 punishments.

St Ninian's, which was second, with 114 incidents.

Ramsey Grammar suspended a total of 90 students, Castle Rushen 63, and QEII 46.
