Remand for Douglas man accused of heroin offences

46-year-old enters 'no plea' to Class A production charge

A Douglas man has been further remanded at the Isle of Man Prison after being accused of producing heroin to the Island.

Shaun Robert Milligan, of Manor Woods, chose to enter no plea to the offence which was allegedly committed on or about 17 July.

The 46-year-old has also been charged with possessing the Class A drug with intent to supply, possession of more than £20,000 in criminal cash, dangerous driving and failing to stop for a PC.

During an appearance at Douglas Courthouse the prosecutor told the court around 375 grams of heroin had been found concealed in tubes of silicone.

The drug reportedly had a street value of between £37,000 and £75,000.

Committal proceedings – where the case is elevated to the Court of General Gaol Delivery – will take place on 19 September; there was no application for bail.
