McGuinness says changes don't work for residents in the north
A Ramsey commissioner is maintaining that new car parking charges at Ronaldsway are negatively affecting residents from the north.
It follows a reminder issued by the Isle of Man Airport about the drop-off/pick-up area at the front of the terminal which it says is ‘strictly no waiting’.
The airport claims ‘safety and security issues’ have been caused by drivers waiting for long periods with some even leaving their vehicles unattended.
Changes, enforced in July, lowered the free parking time from one hour to 30 minutes and separated parking bays into premium and standard rates.
