Public urged to take opportunity to debate elections

Another Electoral Commission meeting being held tonight

The Manx public is being urged to take the opportunity to have their say about the future of Manx elections.

The second of four meetings being held by the Electoral Commission is taking place in Douglas tonight (15 June).

The first in Ramsey, last month, was poorly attended despite potentially far-reaching changes being considered for the next House of Keys' General Election in 2026.

Commission Chair Sally Bolton says they are open to any thoughts people may have:

Tonight's meeting is at St Andrews Church Hall in Douglas, next week there is one at the Arbory Parish Hall in Ballabeg and on 29 June there is one at the Corrin Hall in Peel.

They all start at 6.30pm

You can find a link to the public consultation, which runs until 28 June, here
