Planning permission wanted for six new apartments in Douglas

Applicant wants to develop Sea Court which is 'dilapidated'

Planning permission is being sought, for the second time, to replace Sea Court on Victoria Road with six apartments.

Agents acting on behalf of the developer say the current house is 'dilapidated' and has no 'architectural merit'.

The development could provide 12 parking spaces for residents, a communal garden and a cycle storage rack.

It's also planning to provide a lift suitable for wheelchairs and have a level access threshold into the building.

The agents say it plans to 'retain' existing plants where possible, but five trees are being removed from the site.
Solar panels and thermal insulation would also be installed.
