Planning application for demolition of Trevelyan Hotel submitted

The initial application was refused last November

An application has been resubmitted to demolish the Trevelyan Hotel and turn it into apartments.

The proposals were refused last November because it would 'neither preserve nor enhance' the existing site amongst other reasons.

Plans for the site include demolishing the back of the hotel whilst keeping the front facade and building 15 apartments with parking and bicycle storage.

The developer says the hotel business was affected by the pandemic but says the apartments could be used as tourist accommodation during the TT and Manx Grand Prix period.
