New yellow warning for inner harbour flooding

Tuesday's high tide to affect areas in Douglas, Castletown and Ramsey

A new yellow weather warning has been issued for inner harbour flooding tomorrow afternoon.

It's in place between 1pm and 3pm, around the time of high tide (1:50pm), though the flooding will be 'minor'.

Ronaldsway Met Office says the areas affected will be The Tongue in Douglas, the carparks riverside of Lake Road and 'perhaps the area of Hope Street in Castletown, and just onto East Quay in Ramsey'.

It adds: 'The flood defences in Castletown and around the Tongue in Douglas should remain in place until after this high tide has passed.'
