New speed limits in Santon whilst road patching work is done

DoI to begin work on A5 on 11 July

Speed limits in Santon will be changed this week to allow for road patching work to be carried out safely.

Temporary 30mph and 40mph zones will be introduced on the New Castletown Road on Tuesday (11 July).

The Department of Infrastructure will be carrying out work on the A5 between Ballavale Road and School Road and near to The Forge.

Motorists have been advised to use the Old Castletown Road or St Marks Road instead – the work is expected to take 15 days to complete.
