36-year-old remanded at IoM Prison

A Chinese man has been remanded at the Isle of Man Prison after being accused of assaulting his wife.

At Douglas Courthouse yesterday (9 January) the 36-year-old’s bail application, to return to China to live with his parents, was refused.

Refusing the bail application Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood adjourned the case until 23 January.

Update: At Douglas Courthouse on 23 January trial dates were set - Mr Yang was remanded at the Isle of Man Prison until his trial starts on 11 March.
