Robert Brown killed former Island resident Joanna Simpson
The High Court has dismissed a convicted killer’s appeal to be released from prison.
Robert Brown killed his wife Joanna Simpson, with a claw hammer, in October 2010 in Berkshire.
Joanna had grown up on the Isle of Man and went to the Buchan School.
He was jailed for 26 years for manslaughter and was due to be freed in November last year after serving half of his jail sentence – however his release was blocked by the UK Government.
The High Court has now dismissed the appeal against that decision saying there were good grounds for believing that he still posed a ‘high risk’ to the public of serious harm; you can find out more HERE.
