Busy Tynwald agenda for last sitting before summer recess 

But is it time to modernise the working practices of the court?

Statements on air and sea services, the new Isle of Man Ferry Terminal and the Island’s economic position will be made in Tynwald next week.

They are just some of the items up for discussion at the last sitting before the summer recess.

Manx Utilities will also discuss onshore renewables, the chief minister will discuss the 50th anniversary of the Summerland tragedy and they’ll be discussion over the Attorney General’s role.

It’s believed the recess was originally implemented to enable farmers to bring in the harvest and the break led to a considerable debate at the June sitting of the court about whether it should remain:
