Members of the DOI met with concerned residents at Arbory Parish Hall on Tuesday
Residents from the south of the Island have accused the Department of Infrastructure of 'taking everyone's rights away'.
The claims came at a public meeting at Arbory Parish Hall last night when members of the department met with the community to discuss plans for a path at Ballacannell.
Historically residents in the area have used it as a path to pass through by foot, vehicle or even on horse.
However the department believes it isn't just one as it does not exist on the definitive map.

Former infrastructure minister Phil Gawne stood up during the meeting and apologised for the 'outdated mapping', calling it a 'decades old problem':
