Airport launches performance updates

Only a quarter of Monday's flights left on time

The Isle of Man Airport has begun publishing flight statistics on its Facebook page.

Seven of the 13 scheduled flights out of Ronaldsway on Tuesday (4 July) left on time.

Of the six which were therefore delayed, two departed over two hours late.

One was over an hour late, one was over 30 minutes late, and two left over 15 minutes behind schedule.

These delays were blamed on 'late inbound aircraft, aircraft change or multiple off schedule aircraft'.

Reflecting on the statistics from Tuesday, Ronaldsway says: "While we faced some challenges with disruptions, we want to reassure passengers that our team is committed to keeping you informed every step of the way.

"We appreciate your understanding as we continue to work to ensure your journey through the Isle of Man Airport is as smooth as possible."

In a separate post on social media, the airport confirmed that on Monday (3 July) 11 of the 18 scheduled flights were delayed.

Meanwhile, both EasyJet flights from Gatwick were cancelled due to 'exceptional operational reasons' and 'earlier delays in aircraft schedule'.
