First England Rugby Kids First Scheme on Island
It's been announced the UK's England Rugby Old Mutual Wealth Kids First scheme is being introduced on Island - by Old Mutual International.
Over 500 clubs have signed up to the Old Mutual Wealth Kids First Pledge across - aimed at training coaches to inspire kids to keep up the sport.
Douglas RUFC is the first club to sign up to it in the Isle of Man.
As part of the scheme - Boys and girls aged six to 13 are encouraged to learn the game at schools and local clubs by the coaches.
It's hoped junior player numbers will grow as a result, with the long-term goal to increase talent Island-wide.
Old Mutual International - which employs 450 people here - is part of Old Mutual Plc - a FTSE 100 group providing life assurance, asset management, and banking.
