Hickman is the fastest road racer on the planet

Dundrod meet abandoned later after tragic incident

Peter Hickman won the Dundrod 150 Superbike race in record-breaking style.

He finished just under two seconds ahead of Dean Harrison with Bruce Anstey in third.

Hickman smashed the outright lap record on lap three registering a speed of 134.210 mph.

Manx rider Dan Kneen just missed out on a podium in 4th place on the Tyco BMW and Conor Cummins retired on lap two with a broken chain.

In the other races that went ahead, Bruce Anstey took victory in the Lightweight, Paul Robinson was first in the Ultra-Lightweight and Joey Thompson won a shortened National race.

The meeting was abandoned after the incident at Windmill - brothers Jamie and Rob Hodson were taken to hospital after being treated at the scene.

Rob was not seriously hurt but tragically Jamie's death was announced a few hours later.
