Isle of Man Constitution Bill will get its second reading in HoK
Politicians are today expected to debate whether the bishop should lose their voting power in Tynwald.
The Isle of Man Constitution Bill 2023 will get its second reading in the House of Keys (5 December).
Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper was given permission by MHKs, in November, to introduce the bill albeit by a narrow margin.
If it's successful it would also mean the head of the Manx church wouldn't have a vote in Legislative Council either.
In a previous debate Mr Hooper, who is also health and social care minister, was warned by his predecessor Onchan MHK Rob Callister to use his time more profitably.
