New initiative at Douglas store
A brand new 'virtual queuing system' is being trialled at the Sure shop in Douglas.
It's all based on the Qtip.me mobile app - which is essentially a hi-tech version of the ticketing system found on many busy shop floors.
The app tells you how long you've got to wait, and prompts you to pop in when your number comes up - freeing up, in theory, store space, as well as your own time.
It's available on both iPhone and Android handsets.
