PwC appoints new actuarial director

Johann Marais takes the helm

Big four accountancy firm PwC has a new face for actuarial services on the Island.

Long-serving employee Johann Marais has been promoted to the rank of practice director, having worked for the firm since 2007.

He's a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, renowned for his expertise in employee benefits and risk management.

Johann reflected on the excitement of landing the role, pointing to the growth of the practice from one staffer to a team of five.

He added that he's looking forward to taking on contemporary challenges like regulatory changes and post-Brexit market volatility.
