Airline brings in fuel surcharge

Passengers travelling with Flybe are set to pay more for their journeys.

The airline is introducing a £3 surcharge to cover soaring fuel costs.

Flybe is also considering selling off some of its 70 aircraft to keep prices down.

The company is reporting a downturn in passenger numbers during February and March, saying fewer people took leisure flights.

Flybe floated on the stock market in December last year and is due to report its full-year results next month.
